Service purpose

To meet the international demand and cooperation request of educational statistical and relevant index, and provide base data for estimating the international standing of our education to general people, education related professionals, researchers, educational policy makers and administrators by providing and analyzing internationally comparable educational statistics
To check the international standing of our education through international educational cooperation including providing our national educational information to main international organizations and obtaining the educational information of key counties in the world, and based on that, to improve educational competitiveness by identifying current issues facing the educational system and policy in our country
Service details
Secure the international comparison properties of educational statistics and generated data by participating in OECD educational statistics projects, and expend domestic educational statistical survey objects according to international standards
Publish the Korean version of OECD indicators of education (EAG: Education At a Glance) and analysis source books
IMD.WEF competitiveness evaluation results analysis, HDI evaluation results analysis, and world university competitiveness results analysis
Promotion status
1995 : Participated in OECD Indicators of Education System (INES)
1995 : Started to participate in publishing OECD indicators of education (Education at A Glance)
2008 : Analyzed annual IMD, WEF analysis report university ranking results
2012 : Held OECD INES Working Party conference in Korea for the first time in Asia (October 10 ~ 12 2012)
2014 : Published EAG 2014 (21th edition) (November 12 2014)

Process data by utilizing kindergarten, primary, and secondary educational institutions and higher educational institutions data in the Center for Educational Statistics DB of Korean Educational Development Institute, and nursery institutions data in Ministry of Health and Welfare
