Survey Objectives

The purpose of the higher education graduates employment survey is to provide base data for career guidance for college students and graduates and to support young people's employment by analyzing the employment status of graduates of higher education institutions.

What we do

This survey collects data on the employment statistics about 40 items, including schools, students, and employment status, as of December 31 and June 1.

It also provides employment statistical data to the public through various publications such as the 'yearbook of employment statistics' and 'Analysis report of employment statistical'.

History

2004:  1st survey of employment statistics of universities and colleges. (363 schools)

2005: 2nd survey of employment statistics of universities and colleges. (371 schools), pilot survey for graduates of general graduate schools.

2006: 3rd survey of employment statistics of universities and colleges. (374 schools), 1st survey of employment statistics of graduates of general graduate schools (139 schools)

2007: 4th survey of employment statistics of universities and colleges. (376 schools), 2nd survey of employment statistics for graduates of general graduate schools (142 schools)

2008: 5th survey of employment statistics of universities and colleges (374 schools), 3rd survey of employment statistics for graduates of general graduate schools (146 schools)

2009: 6th survey of employment statistics for universities and colleges (370 schools), 4th survey of employment statistics for graduates of general graduate schools (148 schools)

2010: 7th survey of employment statistics for universities and colleges (369 schools), 5th survey of employment statistics for graduates of general graduate schools (155 schools)

2011: 8th survey of employment statistics for universities and colleges (397 schools), 6th survey of employment statistics for graduates of general graduate schools (160 schools)

2012: 9th survey of employment statistics for universities and colleges (392 schools), 7th survey of employment statistics for graduates of general graduate schools (166 schools)

2013: 10th survey of employment statistics for universities and colleges (385 schools), 8th survey of employment statistics for graduates of general graduate schools (167 schools)

Survey subjects

Graduates of 594 higher education institution in total  (including 145 junior colleges, 214 universities, 182 general graduate schools, 10 universities of education, 25 polytechnic colleges, 14 industrial universities, 4 miscellaneous universities, etc.) who graduated in August of the year before the reference year and in February of the reference year.

 ※ Data of Air & Correspondence Universities, Technical Colleges, Graduate school colleges, Cyber Universities, Colleges in the company, professional graduate schools, special-purpose graduate school, and other recently established schools where not have graduates yet are excluded from this survey.

Expected Outcomes

Improve the reliability of Employment Statistics Survey results.

Provide base data on career guidance for college students and graduates to support young people's employment.

Contribute to the establishment of national policies for ㅔpredicting labor market prospects.

Provide key information to explain the relationship between the education market and the labor market
